This was the day I realized that this wasn’t a meme. Didn’t even have shares and I couldn’t buy any. Since then I’ve averaged up, down, up, and now down again. I like the stock.

My favourite memory was just me and my friends, a lot of whom had never invested before or connected with WSB in general, sitting around in Discord and watching the GME chart all day. One of the most exhilarating things that have happened in my short life.

The day I learned DFV is not a cat.

I remember coming across Roaring Kitty on YouTube randomly one night, I liked what he had to say about GME so I bought in pretty early. Fast forward a few months and a small investment turned into something much more important when market manipulators got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Now I’m far more financially literate and smarter with my money and live with a simple life philosophy: HODL

Favorite memory is a collection of the memories of all of the memes that have come out of this saga. From the Sea Shanties to WSB High Quality Gifs, to I Am Not a Cat, to Releasing Grandma and Dave’s Bingo Board Update. This saga has been a crazy one. It’s invigorated retails desire to learn about the market and fight for a fair chance at supposedly free and fair markets. There’s a long road ahead, but hopefully we can catch each other on the moon soon.

This was the day I finally got some settled cash into the market and bought my first shares trying to grab the tail of the rocket. I was just feeling in the dark trying to figure out how to even buy a stock. Oh, what a difference a year makes.

There was a moment in the middle of this year when I sat down and wrote up all the knowledge I'd learned since Buy Button Day. After pages of notes, I for the first time thought I'd got a slight grasp on the scale of corruption in the markets.

Jan 18 2021 my daughter was born. Ten days later my investments soar. Teaching my kids about investments and the ups and downs during 2020-2021 was a great learning experience that built character. Even children understand taking the buy button away was wrong.

Buying more and more $GME every day since they turned off the buy button. Over a year of buying and will keep buying forever. Never leaving. CANT STOP WONT STOP GAMESTOP!!!!

Firat time I had invested into a stock was AMC. The amount of support in this community, in the face of the staggering amount of corruption that's uncovered each and every day, has been something truly positive out of all of this. #APESTOGETHERSTRONG

A friend at work turned me on to AMC. I watched and read for about a week, even looked charts. Then, the lights were turned off on the run up and I immediately knew something was up. I was sold. February 1st ape and never sold a single share. #AMCARMY

I honestly don't have a favourite single moment. But, the feeling of the have-nots coming together to do something important is amazing to be part of.

My favorite memory is how Keith Gill handled himself at the hearings. It was really incredible. He stood toe to toe with the government and wallstreet hedgefunds. He was the only person who was not hiding anything. And didn’t need 5 lawyers in the room with him. It was really something else seeing that unfold. Plus the yolo update after the one guy was asking him if 40 was a “good price point”

I don’t have a single favorite memory but more so the fact the I have been engaged and active in a community this past year that has so many like minded brothers and sisters. It feels like a family and after so many years of dealing with depression, I finally enjoyed my day to day and look forward to every interaction I have with the Ape community. This has been a tough year mentally but the community has helped me grow more as an individual than in the years before. Thank you, all!

Worse memory - the amount of money i made on June 3rd and then lost holding to today - i thought June 3rd was the start of the squeeze after waiting 6 months - then learned 6 months later how corrupt our financial system is and how bad these criminals need to be brought to justice! NEVER FORGET!

When Keith Gill said he liked the stock to the congressional panel and then doubled down on the stock. I felt so empowered and went all in on that day! If he’s in, I’m in!

The buy button removals, the price spike, the congressional hearing, all of these were memorable. What’s stays with me, and what I think history will remember, is the countless individual investors and professionals who moved independently in the same direction, got educated, spread the word and supported each other’s growth, and ultimately changed, and will continue to change, the entire financial system and the world around it. Apes together strong.

the best thing about all of this has been the huge interest from the public about the markets and market structure. The number of people who have found one another and gathered around the simple idea of fairness is very comforting.

I thought I knew about the market before they took away the buy button, but I'm amazed at how much I have learned in the year since. So many amazing DDs revealing how much the market is rigged against retail traders. What a year!

It's hard to pick just one moment. The best thing has been the education. A year ago I had no clue how to buy a stock and had no idea what an option was. If everything went to zero today the education will have been worth it. I now have the tools to make my financial freedom a reality and I have to thank this movement and DL for that. Thank you!

Starting jan 26 I lived what I consider the worse days of my life, jan 26 my mom was admitted to the hospital and was never able to make it out, jan 27 I bought the 1st shares of amc and gme and then came jan 28 when we witnessed how fuck we are if we don't raise and come together as real humans.

January 28th was the day I made my first $500 gain in the market on GME. I remember the elation & excitement. I hadn’t been active trading until that moment, and was beyond exhilarated by the unprecedented volume & volatility I witnessed that day. When the buy button went gray, I had no idea what this would mean to me a year later. From that day forward, my life changed forever! I was unequivocally hooked on the stock market, and now fight relentlessly for market fairness & financial freedom!!!! #GME & #AMC TO THE FREAKING MOON!!!!!!!
