I was always sceptical and put off by the stock market. I was playing with about $100 in the crypto market on Robinhood just to try and understand it better, but then I saw the most solid data I've ever seen through the information gathered by a bunch of individuals in a reddit board. I bit the bullet and bought 2 share still worried that I could lose it and put myself off from actively investing for another couple years. Now it's a year after the but button was returned off and I am confidently investing thousands of dollars and have gained lifetimes worth of knowledge on investing and the market at large. This was a much better investment in my future than college ever was. It's been 18 years since I started college and I probably only just broke even on that.

My favorite moment or moments is was seeing so many people that have been fighting for market transparency finally seeing real support from the public. Dave Lauer, Susan Trimbath, Wes Christian and soooo many others coming and helping educate some of the most passionate individual investors is truly a beautiful thing to see. It just shows when people stop looking for the negative in each other and instead look for the positive what true change can be accomplished. Thank you all for this past year and the future. Whatever it brings, it has been a true pleasure to stand side by side with you all.

My favorite memory is when I saw GameStop almost break $500 and the buy button was taken away. I could not believe what I was seeing. The corruption of the stock market was playing out live as I watched in disbelief. This event fueled my fire to learn more about the stock market and it’s web of corruption.

My favorite memory: the moment it clicked after reading DD developed by "average" individuals, after respected professionals began speaking in support, after learning enough about the market to get what was being said- that moment of heart sinking realization (it is all rigged against us) and concurrent elation (we know it, and we can fight it) is unforgettable.

Watching Thomas Peterffy explain how screwed the markets were, then ramping up the selloff of his IBroker shares to 40k lots every week all year - I love it when people speak their fears through their money!

Rep. Bill Huizenga: Okay. So actually, one the business channels had a good question from one of the Reddit readers, which is, so you recommended GameStop before, would you buy their stock now at roughly 45? It started at 48 earlier today. You were talking about buying it and being happy when it hit cross 20. So are you buying that stock today? Deepfuckingvalue: Well, let me just say that investing can be risky and my particular approach to investing is rather aggressive than may not be suitable for anyone else, but for me personally, yes. Rep. Bill Huizenga: [chuckles] So yes or no, are you buying the stock- deepfuckingvalue: For me personally, yes, I do find it’s an attractive investment at this price point.

Having only started investing in securities at the beginning of Jan ‘21, I had a modest investment in GS and rode the price from $13 to $30. After selling I told my brother who promptly told me to go to WSB and read Reddit. Needless to say I bought back in, held through the shenanigans, and here we are today.

I bought-in at the very peak of last year, near $483. As the price started plummeting, I panicked. I panicked so much that I averaged down, but told myself I wouldn't buy anymore. Thank God I didn't listen. I kept buying and buying and buying! Power to the Players!

I have so many incredible memories from this past year… The wins, the losses, The Battle of 8.01! But above all that, there are so, so many incredible and precious moments I’ve experienced within this amazing community we’ve built. The day I woke up to the level of corruption within our markets. The day I thought I would gain a little more financial freedom, dashed before my eyes. The day I understood that retail was on our own. There was no help or accountability coming from the establishment swamp. The day I become determined to see this through (expose the corruption) for future generations.

Hard to choose one, but surely the one favorite memory is the moment I had read enough to take an educated decision and moved my ETFs to GME and the seeing it develop with the ups and downs without despairing, because I know I can rely on the facts I was and am confronted with. Love to all the UrvinFinance people!

I remember I had just got into Robinhood and was learning the ropes with the help of my wife, as a new investors we were really excited about the prospect of being stock holders . We Began to deposit our money to the app when I realized the buy button was removed, It was horrible time for us and very frustrating.

Every post by The Man, The Myth, The Legend - DeepFuckingValue. My favorite of all, though, was his final GME YOLO Update on April 16, 2021, showing he exercised his options AND doubled down. "In short, I like the stock. And what's stunning is that, as far as I can tell, the market remains oblivious to GameStop's unique opportunity within the gaming industry."

I will always remember my coworker telling me about GME two hours before the market opened on that day. I knew nothing about the DD, so I was like ok, sure, whatever… Since we where in Singapore, it was night and to say the least we got completely hammered. I FOMO’d before the buy button got shutdown and sold basically at bottom. Drunk rookie mistake! When I sobered up, read up on the DD and bought back in. Still holding those shares today

I was working a landscaping job for a University and was on the phone all day with family and friends explaining why GME was going crazy. I probably took 15-20 calls while working snow removal and was buying shares for people locked out on different brokerages. I still hold all those shares in the $240 plus range till this day. Never forget, once you tell the populations you can’t do something, you better believe we are gonna do it 20x harder! “Why waste money on college when Wikipedia is free”

I bought into AMC on 1/27/2021 and bought 100 shares. This was one of my first major buys after finishing my degree in finance, and excited to leave my current job to become a full time investor. The next day we all know what happened. At first I was confused and didn’t understand how, why or what was happening. When I pieced it together I thought, man someone’s gonna get in a loooot of trouble. But a year later, nothing happened, and I’ve lost all my faith in this market. The more I discover the more I feel like I just wasted the last 4 years and 10s of thousands of dollars on a college degree for a career in a corrupt, disgusting excuse of a market. I’ve lost the bulk of my life savings, and realize that this is their intention. To drag retail investors in, cheat them out of their money, and if we ever start to win they will change the rules, like taking away the buy button. Feel like this is a market we cannot win in. Us markets are an embarrassment to our country.

My favorite memory is, that I totally missed the early run around GME. It was a brunch-date with friends in March, that I learned about what happened. On top, I needed severeal month more to become an ape myself. I am holding XX of GME and AMC now - even some options. My friend took some profits and is pursuing other plays - his bad :D
