I remember seeing news articles indicating GME's surge exactly one year ago. Discovered WSB that day and immediately bought at around 360$. I distinctly remember the February crash to 40$, and the fear I felt seeing the giant potential loss in my brokerage account. I liquidated all my other positions and went all in at 43$ :) I believed in the DD (and still do), and have been averaging down ever since.

Pitching Gamestop to an investment fund

Getting to the end of my tether in March of last year after my son was in the hospital on and off for over a month. I wanted the financial freedom to do better for my kids and give them the life they deserve. The feeling of riding the AMC train up and down since then is EASILY worth all the losses I have been through. I’m glad to have seen the code behind the matrix.

I was following the subreddit from pretty much the beginning. At the time I had no money, no faith in the play and thusly; no skin in the game. After the buy button removal, I questioned, "If they were winning, why would they stop retail from buying...and ONLY selling?". Because they WEREN'T winning. After that, I was all in.

All the times Cramer pumped stocks which then "coincidentally" plummeted.

My favorite memories this past year have been ones where I’ve been able to laugh with an old friend of mine after reconnecting after 15 years. We just lost track of each other after moving states and we reconnected over this whole Ape life. With empty pockets, we’ve been laughing and hodling and laughing some more. Cheers to all apes 🥂🍻

I have gone from 8 shares when they turned off the buy button to 1100+ today and counting! Screw the Corruption!

My favorite memory was when the Mulligan Brothers released the teaser for the Apes Together Strong documentary. That's when I realized just how big this was. I was totally emotional seeing all these other apes and hearing them talk about everything. That's when I truly decided to diamond hand this until the very end no matter what. I've been in AMC for a year now and I'm not going anywhere.

When almost all hope was lost, Mark Cuban did that AMA on Reddit and said basically 'if the reason you bought into GME hasn't changed, why sell?' and it was a massive part of the reason I held my GME shares at that time! And since then, I've increased my position over the past year and learnt so much about the stock market. I feel like the best is yet to come. LFG! 💎🙌

My favorite memory fr the last year was having a long talk with my dad about the supposedly free market, and explaining why he lost so much money during the '08 crash and that it is happening once again. Like most people, he didn't truly see what was going on, and pulled out of the market out of fear just like the SHF want us to do, but not this time.... He is now an ape! I've also learned so much about the market in the past year then my entire life!

The first stock trade I ever attempted ($AMC) was rejected by Robinhood on January 28th. My curiosity got the best of me and after much reading and research I switched brokers and went all in!

I was so inspired listening to a friend talk about what was taking place that I immediately joined his suggested social media channels. Then I called my Financial Advisors to get their input (zilch), set up my Fidelity account, transferred money, and immediately bought my first shares once the cash cleared. I still get excited thinking about it. I was so happy and enthusiastic to join a movement that felt like it would have global implications and repercussions. Since then I’ve fallen in love with this community, it’s endless list of characters and all the incredible DD. I’m still gobsmacked at everyones brilliance and dedication which drives me to buy and hold for what I consider to be an excellent and higher purpose as well as my extended family.
