I remember watching an interview with AMC CEO with the headline that AMC was going to go bankrupt. A few months later later...

I am not a cat.

For the first time in my life, I felt like I hadn't missed the train, I had actually been in the right place and time! A year of learning and honing my diamond hands has passed, and I can't wait to watch the world change for millions of us.

My favorite memory is my brother in law calling me (belligerently drunk) at 0430am on January 26th explaining the entire GME short squeeze situation and insisting I get in. I had never invested before in my life. I had no idea what any of this shit was and I was fuckin scared. A year later I'm laughing every time the price drops and buying more. I know more about the financial markets than I ever expected.

Rage induced buying as soon as that buy button was available again. And convincing my best mate to do the same. The sheer arrogance and indignance of what they did literally made me buy GME for the first time.

I knew this was something special after they turned off the buy button and we fell back to 40 and rebounded back up into the 300s shortly after, I invested because I was interested in the company turnaround and the squeeze potential, I'm staying for both the company and the movement. This community is something special and we're here to stay. 💎🙌🚀🚀🚀

Bought 140 in the 40s range as my friend intro-ed me to r/WSB. Watched it pump to 400+. Everyone around you tells you to sell but you believe in hodl-ing. Proven wrong by the shorts, fall in disgrace and sold at 50s. Bought back in at 180s again in Nov 21 after catching back up on all the DD. No cell no sell this round. No more listening to everyone else but r/SuperStonk.

I remember Reddit exploded with outrage when they took away the buy button on Robinhood for GME.

I bought a bunch of gme at 334, watched it go to 450+, then watched it all come down and I couldn't get anymore. What a ride! Every day since I've spent learning more about the market. The adrenaline rush of that day was so fun. Been here ever since.

One year ago I learned about GME when the buy button was turned off- Having no idea what I was doing but wanting to be a part of this middle finger to wall st I made an account and bought my first share. Price then plummeted. I held because I was prepared to lose that money. Now I hold because of everything I have learned about the crooked mechanics of wall st, and because there are good people hoping for positive change holding with me. CHEERS YALL!

Listening to a random guy talk about Gamestop in August 2020 as drove to my weekend scuba dives. Kept listening, then 1/28 all hell broke loose. 1 year later wtf did we all just learn! Superstonk, WSB and more thanks!

To witness this movement and be a part of it, watching it thrive and learn and pivot, and use memes as a primary coping mechanism had been one of the most incredible things I've ever been a part of. We are learning, not leaving.

When the buy button was taken away as u watched amc and GME skyrocket to 20 and 483 and then we couldn’t buy any the next day it was not even a searchable stock on the search bar. Then the next day u could only purchase 10 and then only 100. It is not a free market if they control what we can buy. I like the stock!!!!!!

One year ago, everything changed. It has not been easy for many of us. But would you rather know nothing of what we now know, in exchange for it never changing? We are all united by this burden of responsibility and purpose. Godspeed.

I couldn't have asked for a better group of fellow apes to walk this road, learn how our markets are failing us, and meme the end of the known financial world.

When I think back to January 28, the first thing I think of is fear. All we wanted was to take out a few thousand to pay off the debts, but their greed caused a group of apes to uncover all the corruption in the financial system. At the time I was angry, now I am grateful because I have been able to double my position. Now it is clear to me that a few thousand is not enough, we have to hold on so that we can make changes that will really improve the u.s. market.

Seeing such massive theft on my daughter's birthday gave me more reason to fight back because this is not the world I wish for her on the day she came into the world.
