It was over a year ago that I had a former student reach out to me about the GME craze on Reddit. Crazy to think that millions of people have been on the same journey for this long.

I am very new to the market and investing, I bought my first share of gme for $50 and got to watch it run up until they took away the button. It was very confusing and the panic that was fed to us was very unusual. A year later and I’ve seen so much bs that I was blind to its insane.

People coming together to, in many cases, learn about the intricacies of the stock market--including all of the ways in which it's rigged against retail investors--is by far the best thing I've seen in the ape community. Trey and Matt became like good friends, watching them live whenever possible.

It was like 3.30am in NZ and I was awake and SO hyped to buy more GME. During this time, GME was gaining like 70% everyday and there was heaps of media covery about it. When I saw posts on Reddit from people complaining about not being able to buy GME and some other meme stocks, I panicked and watched my portfolio sink into red. I have never seen anyone do anything like this before and I was the angriest I've ever been in my life because it was straight up market manipulation! This anger fueled my resolve to buy and HODL GME for the past year!!!

My favorite memory was when I realized that I finally have a shot at securing a stable future for my family.

The GME Subreddits and all of the epic AMAs / Hype Videos, the excitement of last year, the unreal DD that opened my eyes, the brother/sisterhood created through it all. Finally the most important is Hope and the potential of a better future Ape's would like to help create.

AMC was my first ever experience in the stock market. Never knew what I was getting myself into with this play. It turned into a fight for transparency in the markets unfortunately leaving me stuck in a position -65% . My conviction never faltered. I’m here to stay with my APE family.

I loved the community conversations sharing plans to make the world a better place with life changing money. Power to the players!

Buying my first GME share, it was a whole day of emotional rollercoaster!

I was trying to find the hang in there post from the main man DFV, but it occurred to me that his reddit stream is the reason I'm here today, while I'm still hodling! So my favourite memory is his reddit stream, without him none of this would've been possible! I've learned a ridiculous amount not only about the corruption of the financial system, but how the stock market works, the inherent corruption within not only the financial system but the entire media, the upper class really...it's been an experience I will never forget and the entire experience is what is my favourite memory. Thanks DFV for liking a stock!!!

Realizing that we are fighting against the entire financial world. It may not be on the news now, but we are already making history.

Selling my doge coin for amc 10 months ago

The moment they turned off the buy button, I knew for a fact this was something special! Clear as day I remember telling myself I am going to buy and hodl until the system breaks.

My favourite memory is the fact, that Gamestop and AMC shareholders came together to fix the StockMarket. We came to stay and we are here for change! Im proud to be part of the growing movement.🥳🥳🥳

Watching Cramer melting down on live TV was pretty awesome, and of course watching Ken Griffin age 15 years in a couple months! We have started a movement, and I'm proud to ROCK and ROLL with you fellow apes!! Only one way to go... see you there! 🌙

My favorite memory was when I lost 75% of my investment on 1/29/2021 due to the buy button being taken away. It hardened me as an investor and I learned the best move is to stick with your convictions and average down. This was a big lesson to me in trading.

Trying to panic buy on Robinhood and being denied the ability to do so.

My favorite memory was the time Amc ran up like crazy and I made a ton of money and got a bunch of new people to join and we are still diamond handing till this day, this was the June run up, this is the day I decided when I wanted to learn the ins and outs of stock trading and the corruption taking place. My diamond balls were forged that day!

This event is what inspired me to join the battle…..I had never invested in stocks in my life up to this point….8.01 OG! Not Leaving!

A year ago APES came through I was COVID depressed before COVID I was known as a rapper and influencer hosting movie screenings weekly.. COVID came and then so did the apes! I was so thankful, I became one!

One year ago i accidently bought gme shares, now year later im fighting with the whole ape squad for financial transparency and fair market! Ride or die!

My favorite memory was discovering personally just how corrupt the 1% truly is. It is now my mission to bring their misdeeds to the light.

When Kenny got upset at the plane banners and threatened legal action

One year ago today I spent the previous night painstakingly reviewing charts and what market data I could with my old college roommate. The dulcet tones of papa burrito in the background and a high speed live chat screeching hodl and sharing dank memes. Then the morning came on year ago today. I opened my trading app to see the overnight action and received the notification. Stunned that they shut off the buy button, I had no words as my wife slept next to me. Shortly thereafter she woke up to 'fuck you, you mother fuckers, eat shit and die'. That was the moment the war started and I will lose it all or win, period.

When it truly began

My favorite memory of this was the battle for $8.01! We were all on top of the world at that very moment! That one battle solidified a lot of us as a community! Ape help ape!

My favorite memory is watching Robinhood slowly tanking the entire year after turning off the buy button and getting exactly what they deserve!

Despite the buy button being taken away from us, apes held together as one and haven't looked back since. My favorite portion of that day was seeing DFV's YOLO update.

GameStop being led by a competent, proven leader.

Every single day since read the article on 1/25/2021 and purchased my first AMC shares. AMC raised 917 million dollars and imminent bankruptcy is off the table! Memories are still be made.

While the buy button being take away was a horrible move by them. The positive that came out of it was a uniting of the community. My hope is that days like today will reconnect the community and lessen the division we’re seeing. HODL

Theres no favourite memory, yet the whole story around GME/AMC introduced me to researching more about market structure, getting into options and made me learn so much more about how to trade.. Accordingly I'm really looking forward to the release of the terminal! Br from Germany!

My favorite memory is this entire journey over the past year, all started with today. Today sparked a fire in me to learn and understand not just my 401k but market structure and finances as a whole. I am a completely different person than i was a year ago and I owe it all to them removing the buy button.
