DFV at the congressional hearing saying I am not a cat. I thought he said it because of his Roaring Kitty name.... didn't find out for another 6 months or so that it was a reference to the popular video of a zoom call where the guy was unable to remove the car filter 😆

I remember listening to the chaos on the way into work on Fox News Then once I had the chance to try to jump in I discovered there was no way it was going to me. I was shocked that a broker app would set certain securities to CPO. A day latter I was finally able to establish a position in a few of these securities and have been on the long winding road of AMC now a year later.

In 2008 I watched my retirement fund crash by 50% due to wall street greed and recklessness while the bad actors got bailed out by the very people they screwed over. Never felt that level of rage again until the buy button was turned off Jan 21'. Time for change. POWER TO THE PLAYERS!

My favorite memory was seeing the post of the billboard in Times Square. Such a display of what fuels all retail investors. Of course we love the stock but having the money to change not only our lives but the lives of our friends and family is invaluable. I know the hope that lies in such wealth. I like the stock.

The congressional hearing with DFV has got to be the moment. Why is there a congressional hearing if this is nothing? Because someone made a successful trade? Why are they attempting to grill this man? Truthful people shine through, particularly when placed next to liars and those who obfuscate the truth.

Being an investor from outside of the US, I remember waking up in shock to the news of the buy button removal on January 28th, 2021. Even my broker in the UK did remove the button! This was corruption at a global scale, planned and put in place to avoid retail traders winning for once since the beginning of stock markets.

I found DFV on Youtube about 4 or 5 days before Jan. 27, 2021. I had bought 1 GME share, it was my first ever stock purchase, and wanted to "test" the waters before I bought more. The morning of the run, before they stopped me from making an investment of my choice, I transferred money into my Robinhood account to buy more. I couldn't believe that level of manipulation and control was even possible. Really was shocked. I've learned so much since then. And invested more!

This was my first tweet on 1/28/2021 about what I saw happening when the buy button was removed from apps on certain stocks. Those stocks went on to be discredited "meme" stocks, yet a new community of investors was forming and little did they know how this would play out.  The world is watching.

Putting $100 into dogecoin at around 20 cents before it rocketed to 70 cents then using those profits to buy into AMC before it launched from $14 to $72 per share. Then watching the corruption as multiple brokers blocked the buy button. Then spending the next year learning how rigged the markets really are and still learning. Then banding together with the apes to fight said corruption/crime.

I will never forget the overwhelming feeling I had, the feeling millions of us had, watching what was unfolding in front of our eyes that day. Many of us saw life-changing money that day, and knew what we saw was only scratching the surface. This community has grown so much since we watched, in real-time, something we had rightfully earned be stripped from us in plain sight. Now a year later, our community is bigger, we are smarter, we are stronger. Our day is coming. Time is on our side. We will get what is ours..

This day last year, Learned so much about the stock markets. I studied financial regulation at masters level but got more knowledge through Reddit and Twitter than my one year in university. After buy button was removed, made me want to know more about markets and it became part of my life. Still holding my gme and AMC sticks and so proud of all that u have learned

Hard to believe it has been a year already, and what a year it has been! My favorite memory is when the serious conversations with professionals in their respective fields of expertise started. You are no longer screaming into the void and being shut down or drowned out. You paved the way and planted the seeds many years ago. Thank you so much for that, truly. I only wish it could have been realized sooner. Us retail investors got loud, have stayed loud, and are not going anywhere. The game is rigged and always has been in favor of the ultra-wealthy, hedge funds, and those seen as to big to fail. So much has been thrown at retail and we haven’t blinked. They expected us to lay down and give up without a fight but that won’t ever happen. Retail has forever been at a disadvantage and the tide has turned. We will only continue to learn, question, and improve. The power of the many is greater than the few and the walls continue to break down. Cheers everybody, and stay buckled up. 🚀

I will never forget the rush of the experience of 1/27-28/21. Such high energy and power of individuals via the internet. Truly astounding that the democratic power of the people through action can move like this, but the powers of few can smash and continue to obfuscate the truths of the market forces.

I remember how soon after we discovered cellar boxing, and the existence of 'zombies' - dead, bankrupt, shell, or otherwise non-operating companies whose OTC stocks were somehow flying up 10,000%+, and on a mere few hundred or thousand total trade orders -OTC Markets Group proceeded to introduce the 'Expert Market', some sort of private ATS to which OTC stocks failing certain reporting requirements were moved on Sep 28, 2021. To me, it sent a very clear message: they were done with retail spoiling their fun, and taking their toys home. I've been tracking the remainder of such stocks that were left publicly tradable on OTC, and I'm getting close to what looks like a complete list at almost 700 stocks. Not sure if it'd be worth trying to trade them, considering the low liquidity, but given low prices and a near-guarantee of high daily spikes, you might as well throw a few dollars in.

My favorite memory is when Vlad told us that the buy button was disabled to "protect investors". He may have been right to a degree, but it certainly wasn't retail investors Robinhood was trying to protect. I have never felt such a slap of reality as that.

the entire thread was damage control and its when I realized the retail platforms are in place to control the people,  not support them. They did it once and they will do it again.
