I was wondering how this could happen, bewildered... how could this happen. I stared at the TV and knew I had witnessed something. I didn’t know what it was, but it was something. It was a turning point for me, when I realized I was lied to about everything I knew. Media, stock market, regulators. I had lost everything in that moment. That’s when I turned into something I didn’t know I had in me. That’s when I went Apemode.

My favorite memory is the Battle of $8.01! The day AMC exceeded that level on a Friday and triggered an amazing run up over the next several weeks. The sense of common purpose and community convinced me to double down on this fight to level the playing field.

It is not just one memory; there are a whole year full of memories. The community journey together is the best. Learning and growing with the market, and all of the support that we all share. The AMC NFTs (Spiderman and I Own AMC) were great icebreaker NFTs for many. We have a whole new community of Retail investors that are making real change in the market!

I had yoloed my entire life savings into GME the Tuesday after the MLK holiday. AMC at the time wasn't even a thought. A few days later, the price was surging! At one point, on 1/28/2021,I had seen almost a million dollars! Then the f*ery happened! The price started plummeting...I didn't know what to do. I held for a couple days before I sold out of my entire position to keep some decent gains...only to roll all of them into AMC when it was sub 7 dollars. Since then, I have been buying and hodling ever since AMC! Could have left on June 2nd...but I held through. I didn't know what it meant to be diamond handed before...I know now!!

When I posted a meme of AMC on the moon. And my friends and family clowned me. Well, it was the biggest gainer of 2021. My co-workers and I could not stop looking at our phones, trying to buy and ride the meme stock waves.

Today 1 year ago i heard about the squeeze on the Belgian news. I was a trader with just 8 months experience, made a Reddit account and started reading the DD. The 5th of February i bought my first 30 $GME shares. It was the first day of the rest of my life, bought lots more the past year. TO THE MOON !!!

It left a pit in my stomach thinking about how they had just robbed retail traders from participating in wealth creation. We ended up talking for hours and began researching why? My favorite memory was of the last year was feeling hope. I felt this makes sense that people could like the stock and the stock would go up. I then realized this explanation was too simple because if this simple truth were to be accurate then then those who designed our capital markers would lose the control they have over it. I’ve spent the last year trying to better understand these dynamics. My hopes, dreams, and energy are devoted to being a part of this movement until will get the truth.

1/28/21 was the day I not only started learning about and buying stocks, but began participating in one of the most intriguing stories we'll watch unfold in our lifetimes. I'm in awe of this community and what they've continually learned, revealed, and created, and I'm so proud to be part of it. I can't wait to see what this movement ultimately does for our society.
