That day was the beginning of looking into the stock market and wow is it an ugly place. I have learned there is little protection for retail it’s like the mob left the streets and put on suits. They traded the streets for the trading floor hope things change but I’m still holding my AMC!!!

My favorite memory is learning about stocks and the market. Diving deeper than I thought I would. And doing that with an unimaginable number of people, having fun learning and sharing their knowledge. Crowd sorcing any information out there.

Seeing people of all races, from all walks of life, from all across the globe come together to learn and teach each other about something they all shared a common interest in, to me, is mind blowing! Can't stop, won't stop!

My favorite memory was just a week ago. I was feeling rough, a bit down and feeling lost. Then I struck a conversation with one of my coworkers and it turns out he’s an ape too!! We talked for an hour and shared our concerns, thoughts and confidence in the dd. The world is smaller than you think!

On this day 1 year ago today the buy button was taken away. Retail was robbed, and became an unruly mob. We bought for year and it became very clear. The market was rigged, so we digged and we digged. We exposed all the crimes while expanding our minds. We called for reform and grabbed the bull by the horn. Now we must wait for the correction that came late. For we will get paid and the hedgefunds will fade.

The day my eyes opened, my hands were diamond and I was ape.

There I was I had just joined this new group on Reddit called WallStreetBets. I had always been interested in the stock market but never really gave it a chance until now. GameStop was apparently a good buy according to one redditor called DFV, the DD sounded more than reasonable. I decided on a Friday to buy some and see what would happen, it didn’t seem bad at the price it was, a little more than $80. By the time Monday rolled around I was excited to watch my first investment and it seemed to be doing well and as the day finished I thought I made some good money, but I still wanted to see if it could really reach the prices some people speculated it could. During after market these numbers seemed possible as it began to soar in after market, I was getting excited. That night I did not sleep, I was too excited to sleep, I needed to see the ticker move up again. The next day it seemed like the world turned against us as the buy button was shut off. In order to stop retail investors from buying many brokers stopped letting people buy their favorite stock. As the price began to fall lower and lower I couldn’t get myself to sell, for some reason I couldn’t. They shut off buying so retail investors would stop, so they would leave, so they would no longer hold GameStop. They were scared, they wanted us to stop but it backfired. It backfired so badly that GameStop has become one of the most important companies in so many peoples lives now, including mine.

Finding communities across various social platforms that want to promote self education, positivity, full transparency, and FACTS so we can squash all the fake, lying, speculation that gets presented to us on a daily basis to push a narrative that is completely false.

The entire saga of financial war between dumb money and Wallstreet. That the disabling of the buy button sounded a war horn to every single ape that had dared to dream, hope and support a company that mattered to them since childhood; to dig their heals in and keep the fight going. A year ago I hoped to stowaway on a rocket I barely understood anything about for a quick few G's. A year later and I've inadvertently been learning more and more about the market and it's players. All the while watching more and more Apes dawn similar tinfoil space suits and clamor into our short-bus shaped rockets. We went from memes and asymmetrical bets to talking about PFOF, dark pools, best execution, T+2, FTD's, Naked Shorts, death spiral financing, Dr. T, Kelleher, Lauer, digital dividends, SEC proposals and rulings and countless amounts of financial research and analysis on a graduate level all from a place where we also had people sticking things places, flashing and dressing up as monkeys giving the finger to the citadel building in Chicago. It's been surreal to try to convince the people around me I'm learning about markets from the internet while also seeing the same stories show up in financial news. Seeing youtubers blow up almost overnight and wind up getting news coverage to talk about their investing adventure. To see record setting viewership numbers during government hearings because there are so many apes from all over that care about what's happening and what's going to happen. And that's my favorite part of all - it's still going on.

This marks the 1 year anniversary day of when I bought my first US stocks, namely AMC and GME. One long year of extreme frustration over the corruption within that market, and a long year of learning a whole lot about the inner workings of the stock market.

I never wanted to learn this much about the stock market. I definitely never planned on it. But here we are. So many retail investors have learned so much about the market, this has to be the beginning of a fundamental change. How could it not be? All eyes are on you, market manipulators. You don’t fuck with the internet.

When my nephew/brother clued me in to and opened my eyes to the potential, inspired hope and prosperity for so much good to grow from where bad had been going on behind the scenes for far too long.

Running down stairs to tell the rest of the family what was happening and not a single person having a clue what I was on about. That day I made lots of new Twitter friends!

My favorite memory is the friends we’ve made along the way.

Favorite Memory Has Not Yet Occurred. Holding for over one year has been an incredible journey. Met a ton of amazing people and this type of unity, bond is truly UNBREAKABLE. “They” fear us coming together and loving one another because we have strength in numbers. We the people make the world go round, not a group of old decrepit men and women who just show face to a camera. Retail is Wall Street and massive change is coming.

After reading about a possible squeeze of Wall Street predators. I entered a market order for $1400 in shares of GME the evening of 1/27/2020. I woke up the next morning to find the message below stating that I had "successfully cancelled" my order at the market open on 1/28/2020. Robinhood in fact cancelled this order without consulting or notifying me in advance, and I was unable to place another order for that stock that day. It peaked and crashed as I learned the same had happened to countless other regular people at the same time. The shorts immediately lied about closing their positions, but no one who cares believes them. I have not stopped watching this play out since that day.

The blatant crime was what got my attention to GME in the first place. That move (removing the buy button) sent a strong message that they thought they would always win. Hopefully soon, joke's on them. 💎 🤲 🦍 🚀 🌜

This was the day that galvanized the Ape movement and proved unity was still possible in the midst of great diversity. It took a fiscal battle to knit us together when it felt like everything was coming apart at the seams. Hope hodled in our hearts while diamond hands held.

My favourite memory is Roaring Kitty I even get teary eyed thinking about what he has accomplished and enabled us to accomplish also. Were in this together.

This movement opened my eyes to see past the simulation we call life.

I was green as grass when they took the buy button away I knew nothing about the stock market back then just that I always wanted in and finally Robinhood was my way in to build a Financial future for my Family needless to say I was very nervous excited and fearful but ready it was like a rush I was doing something I thought I would never be able to do invest in the stock market not pay someone to lose my money for me the choice was mine it was wonderful then all hell broke out when one day out of nowhere the buy button disappeared I thought my phone was jammed the app stopped working did I lose my wifi the last thing I expected was the buy button was removed for everyone oh okay it wasn't just me how could this happen I was in shock no idea what was happening or what to do I just happened to be in the Robinhood app that day when I couldn't buy anything that I wanted to buy that's when I started to see the big picture the market can be a messy place little did I know that was just like tip of the iceberg we all know now the stock market is a cesspool of greedy Power hungry thieves that must be stopped.. I wrote more than I planned still didn't get all out but I have to cook some tendies for lunch #AMC..Respect

What's an exit strategy?

Having held an AMC position for nearly 13 months, there have been a few, but the battle for 8.01, sitting at my desk at work and trying to contain myself will always be with me. This movement is unlike anything in history and I am incredibly lucky to have found it.

My favorite memory was the battle of $8.01. I had never felt such exhilaration. It was a major victory for the ape family and I can still see all the posts with the recordings of the closing bell. Such a sweet day. Was like watching my favorite team win the championship.

My favorite part of this whole last year is MSM getting exposed and people like Jim Cramer being so hilariously wrong that any normal person would be fired. He should be a weather man because he can’t predict shit…
