How much I and my fellow retail have learned since 1/28 of last year.

Discovering that the “free” market is filled to the brim with corruption, negligence, and manipulation. We’re still here. We aren’t going anywhere.

I remember driving around playing Pokémon GO, hoping from stop to stop, checking the gains after each spot. Then looking to buy more, and apparently I had too many shares already. Thinking “well looks like I’m on the right side of this.”

My favorite memory was going back and watching The Big Short after reading all the DD on SuperStonk. It all resonated and I felt awake for the first time to the sheer corruption in the market. But I was hopeful because this community is pushing for positive change and the corruption is getting more attention.

Favorite memory was when the stock was going up to $70+ and looked at my account and was so close to being a millionaire. I screen shot it and shared with my family and everyone was excited. I haven’t sold a share since I bought in and consider myself a true Ape! 💜 this community.

The removal of the buy button has led to the creation of a private Discord group of over 200 Apes making countless memories and friendships.

I don't necessarily have a single favorite memory from last year, but rather, the realization that the market has been flagrantly manipulated under the eyes of the SEC and other alphabet groups that should be protecting retail investors. After months of reading due diligence posts on a certain sub Reddit, and noticing that another sub Reddit had been compromised, I finally had the epiphany that stock prices are not real (in this current stage of the market) and that I should buy, hold, and DRS. BTW, did you know it's illegal for a company to tell their shareholders to directly register their shares? Ask yourself why that's illegal but it's fine for people like Cramer to openly tell the public to buy or sell specific stocks.

I was simply using stash to put a little savings back and dabble in the stock market…until 1/28/21. I knew from that day it was going to be a movement and I had to be a part of it. Being poor most of my life I knew that I had to jump in and be a part of something greater. Not only for me, but for all of those that had been harmed before and those that would be in the future.

Picture it. September 27-28th, 2021. Chicago. Citadel's official Twitter account woke up out of a months-long dormancy to throw an internet tantrum as it became known that *Ken Griffin perjured himself* in front of a Federal committee with circulating evidence showing as much. Queue the hasty "interview" in which Griffin plays a sweaty Hamburglar complete with obvious clap track for good effect. There you have it; a great memory with great drama to boot! RIP Dumbass
