This exact date last year I bought my first share of a stock and it was gme. It changed my life forever.

The two best things were the enormous amount of knowledge gained and that I was able to travel along this monumental journey with my two sons.

How united the community was, it brought people of all types from all over the world together and is continuing to do that. Ape strong together

Tried to buy a single share at 483... I'm thankful that shit took too long and I got my first two for $200 instead. Felt like I got a pretty good deal at the time. Big shoutout to Robinhood and Citadel for making me hate humanity even more! :D

Can't forget the battle of 8.01. I will always remember.

DFV FINAL UPDATE

I remember waiting for my initial deposit to clear so that I could buy in. This was day #4, on the 28th, and I was feeling excited and anxious. I got up that morning and watched with disbelief as the price plummeted. Disbelief was replaced with frustration and anger. My deposit cleared the next day and I was able to buy the limited amount. I bought in to secure a position and started my transfer out of RH the same day.

When the legend himself exercised and got more. Believe in your investments.

My favorite memory is being a three week old investor and waking up to see a specific stock up 125$ pre market and thinking that was normal.

I remember watching the initial sneeze from a distant third-party perspective, but after taking much interest, actually trying to figure out what's going on and leaving my skepticism at the door. I watched the entire congressional hearing involving Keith Gill, and when someone condescendingly asked him, "So YOU think Gamestop is a good buy at $45?!" and he essentially gave a stone cold answer saying that yes it was an incredible opportunity, I knew this thing was still on and have been buying shares ever since.

My favorite memory from this whole experience will be how a bunch of strangers on the internet came together as a community and educated, entertained, and endured in the face of overwhelming odds. How retail woke up and has started to take the power back. How this last year has reinvigorated voices that have felt like they have been shouting into the abyss about issues with market structure and high finance. And best of all, my favorite memory from this past year is the knowledge that this is just the beginning. WAGMI.

My favorite memory was my introduction to DeFi during the Degen farming days. With all of the communities beginning to form, that’s when I really started getting exposure to crypto and DeFi.

I like to remember that a few people in the media were supporting the apes.
