I remember watching NBC nightly news with Lester Holt where he casually referred to the short squeeze that Reddit had pulled off. I remember being bummed that I didn’t know anything about the market or how it worked. But I wanted to know so I started reading and a year later the world has changed and I’ve never been more unplugged from the matrix of crooked institutions that fund grifter politicians and make out world worse for riches.

My favorite memory is scrambling to buy as many shares as I could the day they lifted the buy ban on GME. I remember my buddy telling me as I was leaving work and almost crashing my car as I was purchasing more shares.

My favorite memories are probably the old hype videos from WSB. One that I specifically remember being great was this one from march.

I'd just started trading, and trying to learn about different approached. I found this breakdown of tools from someone (DFV) who'd had some recent success in a play that I'd thought about (GME). Little did I know how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I just remember not knowing what the hell was going on and FOMO'ing in. When the buy button was turned off it made me even more interested in going in deeper. If they wouldn't have turned it off I wouldn't be where I am today so I am actually (weirdly) grateful it played out the way it did. I am confident after a year of research and learning that I am not only going to set up me and my family financially, I am also giving the finger to the hedge fuks who tried to destroy my childhood favorite store.

Bought in January 2021, close to the top and bought on the way down. The DD produced in February gave me confidence to triple down. Been averaging up since.

Memory started when i was in r/wallstreetbets then moved to r/GME and then r/SuperStonk.

March 10th when GME dropped 50% in 90 minutes. And I still held.

I am not a cat

I got into all this hoping to create a better life for my family and my childrens future. Since then I have learned how corrupt our current system is how much change is needed. I have bought more and continue to as well. I am hoping what has been brought to light will help change things in the future. Besides, I just like the company! #GME

Being down 80% last feb was jarring but Ken's mayohem with the bedpost or the runic glory saga was a few high points.

Becoming part of a movement

April was the month a dear friend made me discover what was going on. But it took me 3 meetings with him to finally dig into the DD and create a complete new understanding. I always got the revolutionary boiling blood, this saga has given me the opportunity, knowledges and resolve to be able to make things fair and right. Not that it has never been possible before, but because it could be now on a much larger scale. The will to support, the will to rebuild and make significant changes for the futur is something most of us seem to resonate with topping by a zest of delicate humor. All the DDs, the jokes, help, sharing, research are part of my best memories. I'll be eternally thankful to my dear friend. And to each of the apes who are part of this standing. Power to the player, to the moon and beyond.

The funniest thing in this Saga to me is Citron Research's tweet, a year later I'm still waiting for the stock to go back down to $20 or an explanation on how they know short interest better than retail! Please Citron enlighten us!!

I had just purchased my first share of GME on Wealthsimple when I read the posts saying the buy button had been turned off. I scrambled to log on to my broker and fucked up my fingerprint so I got locked out of my account till I contacted support. I was relieved that my Canadian broker didn't do that shady shit, but I was pissed off for my American bros. Haven't stopped buying since.

best thing was knowing nothing about the stock market and finding out that it is all scam for the rich to steal from the middle class. Shame on FINRA, SEC and other regulators for letting hedgefunds gamble with the entire global economy at risk.

My favorite memory is when I lost all my friends and family upon my education and understanding about the workings of the stock market.
